If you'd like to get more in contact with nature, while not getting to far off the beaten track (and there's masses of opportunity for that too.), then plan to explore the eastern side of the park where there are tougher limitations on transportation with vehicles not being permitted into the area. Here you can ride the shuttle bus into the area and then enjoy some hiking or otherwise cycle in, without the sound of continuous auto engines interfering with the sounds of nature. Yosemite isn't exclusively for summer, and though some of its best perspectives like the meadow will be covered over, it is also a winter playground for people that love snow sports. If you're counting on visiting the park in the winter months ensure you check what parts of the park are accessible and open, and what facilities you will find there. You may also find that the kind of accommodation will be more limited in the winter months so book ahead around any main vacation periods. Even if you only have a day to spend at Yosemite Countrywide Park, you can see things which will provide memories to last an entire life, whether it is the Yosemite Falls (Northern America's highest falls), the enormous redwood trees of Mariposa Grove or the alpine sweetness of the Tuolumne Meadows.
